José Zorrilla y Moral (Valladolid, 1817 - Madrid, 1893) was a Spanish poet and playwright, the most prominent exponent of literary Romanticism in Spain. He is famous for his work Don Juan Tenorio. His life was marked by bohemianism and economic difficulties, despite his great literary success. He was a member of the Royal Spanish Academy.
