Juan Bautista Pérez y Soto (Caracas, 1869-1929) was a prominent Venezuelan lawyer, politician, diplomat, and intellectual. He held important public positions such as senator, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and rector of the Central University of Venezuela. In addition to his political and academic work, he authored various works on law, history, and political thought, and actively contributed to the journalism of his time.
