Juan Carlos Monedero Fernández is a Spanish political scientist, university professor, writer, and communicator, known for his role in the founding of Podemos. He was born in Madrid on January 12, 1963. He holds a PhD in Political Science from the Complutense University of Madrid, where he also works as a professor of Political Science and Public Administration. He has advised several Latin American governments and actively participated in social and political movements. His academic and media work focuses on the critical analysis of capitalism, democracy, and social movements. He has published numerous books and articles on politics and economics.
