Juan Eugenio Hartzenbusch (1806-1880) was a Spanish playwright, journalist, poet, and librarian, a prominent figure of Romanticism. He was born in Madrid. His most famous work is the romantic drama Los amantes de Teruel (1837). He also directed the National Library of Spain.
