Juan Maluquer y Viladot (Barcelona, 1856 - Barcelona, 1932) was a Spanish politician, lawyer, and writer. He held a degree in Law from the University of Barcelona, where he practiced law and served as a professor of Criminal Law. He was a member of the Liberal Conservative Party, being elected as a deputy to the Cortes on several occasions for the constituency of Barcelona. He was also a senator for life and civil governor of Barcelona. In the cultural sphere, he was a member of the Royal Academy of Jurisprudence and Legislation of Catalonia and the Royal Academy of Moral and Political Sciences. He published various works on law, politics, and history, as well as articles in the press.
