Juan Manuel Vallejo Tapia (1918-1982) was a Peruvian historian, librarian, and university professor. He graduated from the National University of San Marcos, where he also taught. He was director of the National Library of Peru and a member of the Peruvian Academy of Language. He conducted important research on the colonial and republican history of Peru, notably for his studies on Ricardo Palma and Peruvian bibliography.
