Julio Calcaño (Caracas, 1863 - 1918) was a Venezuelan writer, journalist, essayist, and literary critic. He was a founding member of the Venezuelan Academy of Language. Among his notable works are "El Apóstol" and "Crónicas de Caracas". He was also a literature professor.
