Kay Mills was an American journalist and author, born in 1941 and died in 2011. She worked for newspapers such as the Los Angeles Times and The Washington Post, covering politics and social issues. She was known for her books on women's history and the civil rights movement, including "A Place in the News: From the Women's Pages to the Front Page" and "This Little Light of Mine: The Life of Fannie Lou Hamer".
