Lauren Weisberger is an American author born on March 28, 1977, in Scranton, Pennsylvania. She is best known for her 2003 novel The Devil Wears Prada, which became a bestseller and was adapted into a film. The novel was inspired by her experience as an assistant to Anna Wintour, editor-in-chief of Vogue magazine. She graduated from Cornell University in 1999. She has written several other novels, including Everyone Worth Knowing, Chasing Harry Winston, Last Night at Chateau Marmont, and When Life Gives You Lululemons.
